Truth comes out in the calm of quiet

“Be still,” God commands us.

If we can do that in the middle of all the violence that haunts us today,

then the truth, God’s truth will be evident.

Notice that the most sincere of conversations

are the ones whispered.

And in times of violence, the times of hurt and oppression,

these are the ones shouted out,

but nothing is resolved. Shouting is about who gets the upper hand.

The quiet person is one who clearly knows her truth,

and answers back with a message of peace,

and hope,

and love.

All of which, need an extreme degree of stillness.

“Be still”

Know your God. Know the truth. Know who speaks it.
